Dubious hairdo

Written by lam0beaner

I’ve been working days this week

And it’s been cold! Today I attempted to blow dry my hair, thinking it would behave better. In fact it was quite the opposite. So many dubious strands of hair; nothing staying where it’s placed, nothing looking the way I thought I styled it by the time I get to work! So, why not try the blow dryer?

I’m not a high maintenance gal. I’m more of a wash-n-wear, maintenance free type. Blow drying does not come naturally to me and frankly I rarely am satisfied with the end results. Still, this morning, desperate for a more put together look, I tried.

Half blowed

I only blowed dried around my face and the top layer in back. I like it to keep as much natural curl as I have left. My hair straightened right out after blow drying and I had a cow-lick. No matter how I blow dried it, there was no correcting it.

With 10 minutes left before having to get in the car and head to work, I wet my hair, combed it the way I wanted it, and out the door I went. It was still a bit damp when I got to work, but at least I was able to trust it to stay in place.

Maybe it’s time for hairspray. Ugh! Thinking about that makes me think how long it will take to get ready in the morning having to style and spray my hair….. I’ll stick with dubious! It’s Easier.

  • I too struggle with blow drying my hair. I was a tom boy growing up and my attempts to blow dry my hair now as a 37 year old woman are dubious at best. Thank goodness for my flat iron, which I do know how to use.

    • Had to chuckle at your comment. I owned a flat iron but ended up giving it away to a friend. I look matronly with flat/straight hair. Today it’s raining so I’m going to work with a wet head :-(. Thank you for your post and commenting!
