Daily Post Lifestyle Retirement

Planet Monday

Written by lam0beaner

Monday, Monday,

so good to me
Monday mornin´, it was all I hoped it would be

The Mamas and the Papas Song is my mantra for today! With five days to go before my retirement date. Next week will be a whirl wind. I have appointments every day for the next two weeks; ranging from getting my teeth cleaned, to having a cat neutered.

One day next week I will join Planet Fitness. It is a gift to myself. After spending 15 years at a desk, I think it is time to get the juices flowing again. But for now I am going to enjoy this week, my last week.

Still doesn’t feel real

I wonder if it’s this way for everyone? There are no worries. I’m excited about what is to come! Beginning with today, there will be no bad days.

I'm faithful, foremost. A blogger since 2017. Interested in photography, painting, anything crafty. I am not afraid to tackle the unknown and if I get stuck, there's always the internet. I consider myself to be young at heart in an aging body.

  • This recently (mid-June) retired guy is Loving it…so far. Of course, it’s a little hard to gauge, since two days after my final work day I was in the hospital having a complete shoulder replacement. Recuperation and the (extensive) physical therapy involved have pretty much slowed my full entry into whatever real retirement might look like but, as I said: so far, so very cool!

Conga rats. I’m sure you deserve it.

    • Than you for your post. I’m sorry you had the shoulder to contend with but it can only get better from there, right? I hope you will see many wonderful days ahead!

  • Still not seeing the like button though. I’m using WordPress reader to give you likes because it’s built in over there. I use your site to visit the post first though — I’m not sure if the reader gives us the page count. I know it doesn’t really matter but I never know when people like getting the stats. Changing themes is always interesting. I am used to 2015 but am trying a different one for my photo blog — it is reminds me of going to Walmart after they reorganized everything. I know it’s there but I don’t know where. Good luck with your new theme — hope it goes smoothly for you.

    • Thank you for the well wishes. Maybe I was on the wrong post. I’ll check that tomorrow. I seriously relate to the Walmart thing and you compared it perfectly. Thank you, again, for the heads up.
